Halfway Lake Cottages is the perfect place to get away for a romantic weekend before the holiday crazies that we all deal with start! We offer tons of privacy with our cozy cabins. You can request a cabin on the lake side or across the drive with a fireplace – either way your view will be amazing. Pack some warm clothes and come check us out!
If you are worried about being bored – there is plenty to do! If you prefer to stay in and just chill then hit one of the two grocery stores on your way in so you can cook each other dinner then lock yourselves in with some TV, a good book or just uninterrupted time for conversation. If you prefer to get out and about, head to town and check out the Newberry Outfitters store on main then catch a movie at the amazing Newberry movie theater which will take you back in time while watching a current movie (don’t forget cash as they don’t take cards)! Grab dinner at Timber Charlies after the show!
If you want to get out but prefer nature over town, head over to Tahquamenon Falls and hike the trails. The falls are always beautiful! The brewery is not open so head up a little further to Paradise and grab a meal at the Berry Patch or The Inn Gastropub & Smokehouse for some great food! You could also check out White Fish Point while there! There are so many parks and little towns that you can check out while here!
